EdgeConneX® Expands European Footprint with Acquisition of Edge Data Center in Warsaw Poland

Herndon, Virginia - 5th November 2018 – EdgeConneX®, specializing in global data center solutions at the edge of the network, has announced the acquisition of the Linxdatacenter facility in Warsaw, Poland. EdgeConneX’s broad customer base of network, content and cloud service providers are looking for a better solution to support their localized and latency sensitive requirements for Central and Eastern Europe. Accenture Acquires Intrigo Systems, Expands its Capabilities in Digital Supply Chains

New York – 5th November 2018 – Accenture has acquired US-based Intrigo Systems, a provider of advisory and systems integration services for SAP® enterprise and cloud solutions in e-commerce, supply chain and procurement. The acquisition strengthens Accenture’s capabilities in delivering end-to-end supply chain transformations that can result in better visibility and buying decisions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. “We are in the era of the intelligent supply chain, where technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), automation and analytics allow the supply chain to serve as a growth engine as it connects to all elements seamlessly, with a focus on delivering value,” said Bhaskar Ghosh, Group Chief Executive, Accenture Technology Services. “Bringing Intrigo Systems onto our team will provide Accenture with more resources in innovation, development and delivery to help our clients turn their supply chain into a competitive, growth-driving differentiator that shapes a digital, intelligent enterprise.”


Thoma Bravo to Acquire Veracode Software from Broadcom Inc. for $950 Million

San Francisco, California and Burlington, Massachusetts - 5th November 2018 — Thoma Bravo, a private equity investment firm, has announced that it has agreed to acquire Veracode, provider of next-generation application security testing (AST), from Broadcom Inc. for $950 million in cash. Currently, a division of Broadcom Inc. Veracode’s SaaS platform and integrated solutions help security teams and software developers find and fix security-related defects at all points in the software development lifecycle.  “As long-term investors in cybersecurity software, we are impressed with the speed and quality of innovation at Veracode,” said Seth Boro, a managing partner at Thoma Bravo. “Software security is one of the most consequential issues facing companies as they look to compete in the digital economy. We are proud that our SaaS security platform combines multiple application security testing solutions, helping our customers around the world secure the software powering their companies and enabling them to focus on their core business objectives,” said Sam King, current Senior Vice President and General Manager of Veracode, who will become the CEO of Veracode following the close of the transaction.


ResMed to Acquire MatrixCare for $750 Million, Expanding Out-of-Hospital SaaS Portfolio into Long-Term Care Settings

San Diego – November 5, 2018 – ResMed has announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire privately held MatrixCare, a US company, specialising in long-term post-acute care software. Their solutions are complementary to ResMed’s current software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings in home medical equipment, home health and hospice. Minnesota-based MatrixCare’s electronic health record (EHR) solution supports a wide range of long-term care settings, enabling providers to increase patient management efficiencies and deliver superior clinical care. “The acquisition of MatrixCare is an excellent addition to the out-of-hospital software portfolio that we can offer our healthcare provider customers,” said ResMed CEO Mick Farrell. “ResMed is the world’s leading tech-driven medical device company and is well positioned to be the leading out-of-hospital software provider in the market. With our portfolio including Brightree, HEALTHCAREfirst, and MatrixCare, we will streamline transitions of care, creating better outcomes for patients, caregivers, and out-of-hospital healthcare providers.”


Broadcom Inc. Completes Acquisition of CA Technologies

San Jose, California – 5th November 2018 - Broadcom Inc, a global technology company that designs, develops and supplies semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions, has announced that it has completed its acquisition of CA Technologies. CA's common stock will now cease to be traded on the NASDAQ and CA will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Broadcom. "Today, we are pleased to complete this transaction, which strengthens Broadcom's position as a leading provider of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions and enables us to better serve our customers," said Hock Tan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Broadcom.  "Broadcom has a track record of successfully integrating and growing the businesses we acquire.  We believe this transaction will enable us to offer customers a leading portfolio of best-in-class solutions across a diverse set of technologies.  We intend to invest in and grow the CA business to further enhance its capabilities in mission-critical infrastructure software solutions."


VIVA Kuwait Signs Initial Agreement to Acquire QualityNet
Kuwait – 4th November 2018 - Telecommunications firm, VIVA has announced that it has signed an initial agreement with Bahrain’s Batelco and National Bank of Kuwait to purchase the entire share capital of QualityNet General Trading and Contracting. Established in 1998, QualityNet is the market leader in the fixed data communications and internet services industry in Kuwait. Batelco Group acquired 44% of the company in 1999, subsequently increasing its shareholding to 90% in 2014, while NBK holds 10%. As agreed between the parties, the deal price will be established on the completion of the full transfer of the shares to VIVA subject to the satisfaction and fulfillment of certain conditions. QualityNet’s network reaches North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Africa through various partnerships and strategic business alliances; among them are Batelco, STC, Omantel, Orange, Etisalat, and Qtel.


PrecisionHawk Acquires Uplift Data Partners
PrecisionHawk, Inc., a provider of drone technology for the enterprise, has announced that it has purchased Uplift Data Partners. Uplift specializes in the delivery of turnkey inspection services for construction, building information management (BIM) and real-estate. Uplift has provided drone services for leading national and global brands; its nationwide network of commercially trained drone pilots will join PrecisionHawk’s network of over 15,000 drone pilots, one of the largest networks of its kind. Suzanne El-Moursi, CEO of Uplift, will join PrecisionHawk’s executive leadership team managing the company’s construction line of business. “This acquisition displays PrecisionHawk’s commitment to strengthening our technology and expertise in high-growth markets,” said Michael Chasen, PrecisionHawk CEO. “By combining PrecisionHawk’s leading-edge products and services with Uplift’s industry experience and training standards, our customers will receive best-in-class aerial data and analytics for complex construction and facility inspection projects through a simple and easy to procure process.”


Accenture Interactive to Bolster Creative Capabilities by Acquiring Kolle Rebbe

Hamburg – 2nd November 2018 – Accenture has entered into an agreement to acquire Kolle Rebbe, one of Germany’s leading creative agencies, known for its digital-first approach. The Hamburg-based agency will become part of Accenture Interactive and strengthen its ability to create and deliver integrated brand experiences for clients in Germany and across other geographies. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Kolle Rebbe creates cross-channel advertising campaigns and digital content for clients across various industries. The agency employs approximately 300 artists, designers, digital designers, technologists, concept engineers and copywriters at its Hamburg headquarters.


OpenText to Acquire Liaison Technologies, Inc. for $310 Million

Waterloo, Ontario  - 31st October 2018 - OpenText™, an Enterprise Information Management (EIM) comopany, has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Liaison Technologies, Inc. (Liaison), a provider of cloud-based enterprise application integration and data management solutions. The acquisition of Liaison is expected to further enhance OpenText’s offerings in digital ecosystem and business-to-business integration solutions, application-to-application integration and master data management capabilities. The proposed acquisition also expands OpenText’s capabilities within key verticals such as life sciences and healthcare. Additionally, the acquisition enables OpenText to address fast-growing adjacent market segments, including integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) with a managed services approach.


WiseTech Global acquires Swedish customs and logistics solutions provider, CargoIT

Sydney, Australia & Stokholm, Sweden - 31st October 2018 - Global logistics solutions group, WiseTech Global, has announced the acquisition of CargoIT i Skandinavien (‘CargoIT’), a customs management and logistics solutions provider in Sweden. Headquartered in Stockholm, CargoIT offers customs management solutions along with their freight forwarding, warehousing and transport solutions to over 150 customers, which include DHL, Kerry Logistics, SAS Cargo, Clas Ohlson, Mondelez International, Mitsubishi Motors, Hyundai, and many other logistics providers and organisations. WiseTech Global Founder and CEO, Richard White, said “Sweden is a highly developed market and the largest in Scandinavia, so bringing CargoIT into the WiseTech Global group gives us a strong foothold in a very active trade region..” WiseTech has been on an acquisition spree, in recent weeks, acquiring companies including parcel and LTL (less than truckload), shipping software provider, IFS Global Holdings and warehouse management software (WMS) vendor, LSI Sigma Software. This is in addition to its August acquisition of transportation management system (TMS) software vendor, Trinium Technologies. All the acquisitions follow WiseTech’s stated strategy of "accelerating long-term organic growth through targeted, valuable acquisitions."
