Accenture Completes Acquisition of Knowledgent
New York – 17th January 2019 – Accenture has completed its acquisition of Knowledgent, a data intelligence company.  The acquisition expands Accenture’s data management capabilities, helping companies become digital and intelligent by gaining deep insights into their businesses and customers. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Knowledgent is now part of Accenture Technology’s data business group, which helps clients rotate to become data-powered intelligent enterprises by driving innovation through a diverse set of data services enabled by investments in machine-led solutions, highly skilled data specialists, and leading platform and industry data capabilities. This acquisition is the latest in a spate of acquisitions for Accenture, which acquired ad tech company, Adaptly in December 2018 and business tech consultancy, Orbium, January 9th 2019.

Unicorn Company, Rubrik, Valued at $3.3 Billion, Raises $261 Million Series E Funding Palo Alto, California – 15th January 2019 - Rubrik, the Cloud Data Management Company, has announced a $261 million Series E investment at a $3.3 billion valuation with new investor Bain Capital Ventures, and with strong participation from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, and IVP. Kontrol Energy Completes Acquisition of the IP and Patents of Dimax Controls Canada Inc. and rebrands as Kontrol SmartSite®
Toronto, ON – 16th January 2019 – Kontrol has announced that it has purchased the IP and Patents of Dimax Controls Canada Inc. and rebranded the energy software technology as Kontrol SmartSite®. This follows the successful acquisition of the operating assets of MCW Dimax Ltd back in April 2018, The transaction has been structured as an asset purchase. UK-Based GRC Company, Ideagen, Acquires Scannell Solutions Ltd for £3.5 Million
