Navi acquires technology consulting startup MavenHive
Bengaluru, India - 26th December 2019m – Navi Technologies (formerly BAC Acquisitions) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of MavenHive, a Bengaluru-based technology consulting firm, to further its product development initiatives. As part of the transaction, the Mavenhive team and its founders have joined Navi. Founded by Bhavin Javia and Anandha Krishnan, MavenHive consults with companies, converting their ideas into high-quality software. On its website, the start-up already benefits from a well-established tech clientele, including Flipkart, Gojek, Grasshopper, Scripbox, amongst many others. Commenting on the acquisition, Sachin Bansal said, “We are very excited about this acquisition, which will add great capability to our ambitions to build cutting edge technology platforms that can take applications to scale. This acquisition will add to Navi’s technology capabilities.”

J.D. Power Acquires Trilogy Automotive
Troy, Michigan – 20th December 2019 - J.D. Power, a global data analytics and consumer intelligence company, has announced the acquisition of Trilogy Automotive, the automotive software division of Trilogy Enterprises. Trilogy’s SaaS-based enterprise lead management platform will be integrated into J.D. Power’s Autodata Solutions division’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) digital dealer platform, expanding the capabilities and reach of its existing offering to better enable manufacturers and dealers to optimize retail lead management programs. “Trilogy Automotive has built one of the industry’s most powerful solutions for identifying high quality leads from the vast number of automobile shoppers, all while maintaining a seamless customer experience, continuity with OEM guidelines, and real-time insights for dealers and OEMs,” said Craig Jennings, President of the Autodata Solutions division at J.D. Power. “By integrating Trilogy’s capabilities with our existing OEM digital dealer platform, we will be able to create a robust suite of digital marketing platforms providing lead management, lead generation and digital management services to OEMs, Dealer Service Providers and Retailers.”

Medtronic Acquires Klue
Dublin – 17th December 2019 -  Medtronic plc, a global, medical technology specialist, has announced it has completed the acquisition of Klue, a software company focused on behavior tracking that can provide real-time insights into when a person is consuming food. Klue’s technology is expected to be incorporated into the Medtronic Personalized Closed Loop (PCL) insulin pump system, currently in development. The PCL system is designed to automate insulin delivery in a way that is real-time, personalized and adapts to the user, with a goal of dramatically simplifying diabetes management for the patient. In addition, the Klue technology can be leveraged to enhance the company’s market-leading analytics and insights in their smart1 CGM technology to help people using multiple daily injections (MDI) stay ahead of high and low glucose events. By using gesture sensing via activity trackers combined with analytics technology, Klue has developed fine motor artificial intelligence software that can detect meals and provide insights into user eating behaviors. The ability to automate meal identification along with the corresponding insulin delivery is an unmet need that could greatly simplify living with this disease.

Mirantis Acquired Docker Enterprise Platform Business
Campbell, California - 13th November 2019 – Mirantis, the open cloud company, announced its acquisition of Docker’s Enterprise Platform business. Terms were not disclosed.

Workday Acquired Scout RFP for $540 Million
4th November - Workday acquired Scout RFP, a cloud-based platform for strategic sourcing and supplier engagement.

Sumo Logic Acquired JASK
Redwood City, California – 4th November 2019 – Sumo Logic announced the acquisition of JASK Labs, Inc, provider of cloud-native autonomous security operations center (ASOC) software.

Google Acquired Fitbit for $2.1 Billion
San Francisco – 1st November 2019 - Fitbit, Inc. announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Google LLC.

Salesforce Completed Acquisition of Tableau
San Francisco, California – 1st August 2019 – Salesforce, the global leader in CRM, announced it had completed its acquisition of Tableau Software.

IBM Acquired RedHat for $34 Billion
Armonk, New York and Raleigh, N.C. - 9th July 2019 - IBM and Red Hat planned to accelerate innovation by offering a next-generation hybrid multicloud platform. Based on open source technologies, such as Linux and Kubernetes, the platform will allow businesses to securely deploy, run and manage data and applications on-premises and on private and multiple public clouds.

FIS Closes Acquisition of Worldpay for $35 Billion
Jacksonville, Florida – 31st July 2019 – FIS announced its acquisition of global payments company, Worldpay, Inc.

Looker Joined Google Cloud for $2.6 Billion
Mountain View, California – 6th June 2019 – Google LLC announced that it entered into an agreement to acquire Looker, a unified platform for business intelligence, data applications and embedded analytics, in a $2.6 billion all-cash transaction.

HPE Acquired Cray
San Jose, California & Seattle, Washington – 17th May 2019 – Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Cray Inc, announced that HPE would acquire Cray  for approximately $1.3 billion, net of cash.

F5 Acquired NGINX
Seattle – 9th May 2019 - F5 Network, a global company in multi-cloud application services, announced it completed the acquisition of NGINX, an open source application delivery company.

Qlik Completed Attunity Acquisition
Philadelphia – 6th May 2019 - Qlik announced the completion of its acquisition of Attunity Ltd. The deal accelerated enterprise ability to turn raw data into shared insights across the organization through real-time analytics.

NVIDIA Acquired Mellanox for $6.9 Billion
11th March 11, 2019 - dNVIDIA and Mellanox announced that NVIDIA would acquire Mellanox. Pursuant to the agreement, NVIDIA acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Mellanox, representing a total enterprise value of approximately $6.9 billion.

Twilio Acquired SendGrid
5th February 2019 – San Francisco - Cloud communications platform, Twilio, announced the successful completion of its previously announced acquisition of email API platform, SendGrid Inc.

27 December 2019
