Roche acquires Stratos Genomics to further develop DNA based sequencing for diagnostic use
Basel, Switzerland – 22nd May 2020 - Roche has announced that it has acquired Stratos Genomics, an early-stage sequencing technology company to advance the development of Roche’s nanopore sequencer. The acquisition provides Roche access to Stratos Genomics unique chemistry, Sequencing by Expansion. The Roche nanopore sequencer, once developed, will utilise a novel approach that combines electronic and biological components to sequence DNA for fast, flexible and cost-effective clinical diagnostic testing. CEO Roche Diagnostics, Thomas Schinecker, said: “Roche is dedicated to creating innovative diagnostics for the most challenging clinical conditions with techniques that are tailored to individual genetic and disease profiles. Microsoft acquires Softomotive to accelerate and expand its Robotic Process Automation capabilities
London, UK – 19th May 2020 - Softomotive has announced that Microsoft is to acquire the robotic-process automation company. The technology will complement Microsoft’s existing RPA offering, Power Automate, which is part of its Power Platform portfolio of tools. Power Platform represents a growth opportunity for Microsoft, beyond their more mature products such as Office, Windows and Microsoft’s cloud business, Azure. Prometheus Group Announces Acquisition of VIZIYA From Quarterhill Inc.
Raleigh, N.C. – 19th May 2020  - Prometheus Group, a global provider of asset management operations and optimization software, has announced that is has acquired VIZIYA, a developer of enterprise asset management software, from Quarterhill Inc. Perseus Acquires TUNE
Seattle, WA, May 20, 2020 - Seattle-based partner marketing platform, TUNE, was acquired into the Perseus operating group of Constellation Software. This acquisition marks the second move into partner and affiliate marketing technology by Perseus, following its 2019 acquisition of the CAKE Software business. Constellation Software Inc. Reaches Agreement to combine its TSS Operating Group With to form a new Operating Group

Dedagroup Stealth acquires Zedonk
Milan, Italy – 13th May 2020 - Dedagroup Stealth, the tech company behind more than 60% of Italy’s best-known global fashion brands, has acquired Zedonk, the company relied on by more than 650 small fashion businesses. Until now, smaller brands and start-ups had no access to a single, integrated solution for managing the entire product life cycle, from initial design and production, right through to multichannel distribution in retail, wholesale, marketplaces and social commerce channels, and in addition they had no access to an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology to support rapid international growth. The acquisition of Zedonk by Dedagroup Stealth fills this market gap. Zoom Acquires Keybase – Adds Enterprise End-to-End Encryption Expertise
7th May 2020 - Zoom has announced it has acquired Keybase, a startup with encryption expertise. Keybase, has been building encryption products for several years, including secure file sharing and collaboration tools and will meet Zoom’s security needs as it encounters huge demand due to the pandemic. The company has faced a number of security issues over the last couple of months as demand soared exposing security weaknesses in the platform. Having a team of encryption experts now on the payroll, should help the company build a more secure product. In a blog post announcing the deal, CEO, Eric Yuan said the company had acquired Keybase to give customers higher levels of security – of paramount importance to enterprise customers relying on the platform and those now working from home during the pandemic. He said: “This acquisition marks a key step for Zoom  as we attempt to accomplish the creation of a truly private video communications platform that can scale to hundreds of millions of participants, while also having the flexibility to support Zoom’s wide variety of uses.” Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
