IBM to Acquire Cloud Computing Consultant Taos Mountain
Armonk, New York – 14th January 2021 - IBM has announced an agreement to acquire cloud professional and managed services provider, Taos. The news further advances IBM's cloud migration and transformation capabilities, an important aspect of its hybrid cloud platform growth strategy. Citrix to Acquire Wrike for $2.25 Billion
Fort Lauderdale, Florida – 19th January 2021 – Citrix Systems, Inc. has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Wrike, a rapidly growing company in the SaaS collaborative work management space, for $2.25 billion in cash. The combination will bring together Citrix’s powerful digital work platform, which securely delivers the resources an employee needs to be productive in one unified experience, and Wrike’s innovative work management solution, which streamlines collaboration and work execution, providing employees with additional tools to work efficiently and securely wherever they may be. The addition of Wrike’s cloud-delivered capabilities will accelerate Citrix’s business model transition to the cloud and strategy to become a complete SaaS-based work platform addressing the needs of various functional groups within the enterprise.

Upland Software Acquires Second Street
Austin, Texas – 21st January 2021 - Upland Software, Inc, a cloud-based expert in tools for digital transformation, has acquired Second Street Media, Inc., an audience engagement cloud software platform. Cognizant to Acquire Magenic Technologies, Strengthening Digital Engineering Capabilities
Teaneck, NJ – 19th January 2021 - Cognizant as entered into an agreement to acquire Magenic Technologies, Inc., a privately-held custom software development services company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The acquisition will expand Cognizant's software product engineering footprint, adding 475 employees in the U.S. across seven locations and more than 350 employees in Manila, Philippines. Magenic provides Agile software and cloud development, DevOps, experience design, and advisory services. Accenture Acquires Wolox, Boosting Cloud First and Digital Transformation Capabilities in Argentina and South America
Buenos Aires – 15th January 2021 – Accenture has acquired Wolox, an Argentinean, cloud native and agile development company that provides digital solutions to help clients achieve successful business outcomes. Founded in 2012, Wolox’s team of more than 280 professionals specializes in integrated services that include digital business design, product creation and agile squads. Hillrom Announces Plan to Acquire Bardy Diagnostics, Inc. for $375 Million
Chicago – 19th January 2021 - Hillrom has announced it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Bardy Diagnostics, Inc. (BardyDx), an innovator in digital health and a provider of ambulatory cardiac monitoring technologies. Under the terms of the agreement, Hillrom will purchase BardyDx for a cash consideration of $375 million and future potential payments based on the achievement of certain commercial milestones. Hillrom is also acquiring net operating losses valued at more than $20 million that are expected to result in future tax benefits. "This acquisition provides Hillrom with a highly strategic and differentiated diagnostic cardiology platform aligned with our vision of Advancing Connected Care™, as well as an attractive recurring, high-growth revenue stream and gross margin profile," said Hillrom President and CEO, John Groetelaars. TeamViewer Acquires Customer Engagement Innovator Xaleon
Göppingen, Germany – 19th January 2021 - TeamViewer, a global provider of secure remote connectivity solutions and workplace digitalization technology, has announced its acquisition of Austrian startup and provider of customer engagement software, Xaleon. Xaleon's core product is a co-browsing technology that enables an advanced form of GDPR-compliant screensharing in web sessions without installation and transfer of user data. Xaleon's solution also provides interfaces (APIs) to all major customer service and ticketing systems for seamless integration. Oliver Steil, TeamViewer's CEO, said: "Xaleon is a great addition to our existing product portfolio. Wattpad to be Acquired by South Korean Internet Conglomerate, Naver for $600 Million
Toronto, Canada and Seoul, South Korea - 19th January 2021 - The Board of Directors of Wattpad, the global multi-platform entertainment company for original stories and social storytelling platform, has announced its unanimous approval of a definitive agreement to be acquired by Naver, South Korea’s internet conglomerate. Naver is expected to acquire Wattpad in a cash and stock transaction valued at more than an estimated USD $600 million, subject to customary adjustments and other terms.  The acquisition will allow Wattpad to continue to accelerate its international growth and success. The company will remain headquartered in Canada under the continued leadership of founders Allen Lau and Ivan Yuen. As one of Korea’s largest publicly listed companies and a globally recognized technology powerhouse, Naver offers a world-class portfolio of search, e-commerce, fintech, communications / social networking, cloud service, content, and entertainment services and brands.

Cisco and Acacia Communications Announce Amended Merger Agreement
San Jose, California – 14th January 2021 - Cisco and Acacia Communications have announced an amendment to the definitive merger agreement under which Cisco previously agreed to acquire Acacia. Under the terms of the amended agreement, Cisco would acquire Acacia for $115 per share in cash, or for approximately $4.5 billion on a fully diluted basis, net of cash and marketable securities. Cisco and Acacia expect to complete the acquisition by the end of the first calendar quarter of 2021, subject to closing conditions, including Acacia stockholder approval. Upon completion of the acquisition, CEO Raj Shanmugaraj and Acacia employees will join Cisco's Optics business. Cisco Chairman and CEO, Chuck Robbins said: "I am delighted that Cisco and Acacia have decided to come together in this mutual deal. We look forward to welcoming Raj and the Acacia team to Cisco to offer our customers world-class coherent optical solutions to power the Internet for the future." ThoughtWorks Acquires Gemini Solutions Inc
Chicago - 13th January 2021 - Global software consultancy,  ThoughtWorks, has announced it has agreed to acquire privately-held software development and consulting services firm, Gemini Solutions Inc.Founded in 2005 by a group of Silicon Valley technologists, Gemini Solutions is dedicated to delivering world-class software product development services. TPG Growth and The Rise Fund Make Major Investment in Greenhouse Software
New York, NY; Fort Worth, TX; and San Francisco, CA – 14th January 2021 - TPG Growth and The Rise Fund have announced that they have signed a definitive agreement to partner with Greenhouse, the hiring software company used by over 4,000 businesses, as a majority investor. TPG Growth, the middle-market and growth equity platform within TPG, and The Rise Fund, the global impact investing platform managed by TPG, will jointly invest in Greenhouse to accelerate product innovation, grow into new markets, and enhance solutions aimed at accelerating diversity, equity and inclusion in hiring. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction, which is expected to close during the first half of 2021, is subject to customary closing conditions. Logically Acquires NG2 to Expand Midwest Presence
